UNM-Taos, which serves Native Americans and their communities in solar energy technology training and other areas, is hiring construction tech instructors, with a special focus on solar tech and green building and design! Please see the descriptions below, and share this with your networks:
UNM-Taos’ Professional Skills Department invites applicants living in New Mexico to apply for Temporary Part time Faculty positions (Adjunct) to teach lower division courses in our Construction Technology Certificate Program. These courses will be taught in a live/face to face format, at UNM-Taos’ Klauer Campus.
These positions will be hired on an as needed basis. Potential courses include but are not limited to:
· CNST 104 – NCCER Core
· CNST 109 – Plumbing Theory
· CNST 114 Solar Adobe
· CNST 120 – Principles of Electricity
· CNST 127 Introduction to Solar Technology
· CNST 137 Alternative Building and Construction
· CNST 174 Design for Green Building
Minimum qualifications include a Bachelor’s Degree and professional experience OR tested experience that is determined to be equivalent to a degree.
Preferred qualifications include a demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and student success, and a knowledge of Cornerstones Community Partnerships.
